The team played in their first competitive tournament on Bangor City's Nantporth pitch and played exteremely well. They achieved four out of four wins in the group. Below are the results and scorers.
2-1 v Llanrug (Liam a Llyr)

As the group winners, Bethel faced Cae Glyn's other team. Bethel started slowly with Cae Glyn scoring twice early on. Despite a series of corners and shot after shot Bethel failed to breach the defence and the scored finished 2-0 to Cae Glyn. However, a great day for the team.
Saturday 9 May 2015
Bethel B vs Llanrug
Llanrug visited Bethel to compete in the derby match. The Bethel team was again passing well and despite conceding early they responded strongly and improved as the game progressed, creating serveral chances. Two goals from Llyr and another from Liam clinched a deserved win.
In the second game, Llanrug again gained an early lead and although Bethel finished the strongest with a deserved goal from Gruff, the visitors held on to the win. Another solid performance from Bethel.

Sunday 3 May 2015
Nantlle Vale vs Bethel B
A longish trip to Penygroes battling the Bank Holiday traffic was the first game this month. This was one of the best displays of the season with excellent passing and everyone supporting each other on the field. The training ground moves were in evidence as Bethel gained a deserved win. The scorers were Gruff, Nia, Liam, Iestyn and Llyr
The team returned to Penygroes on the following Sunday to compete in a tournament on CPD Nantlle Vale's pitch. Unfortunately, it was fairly dismal weather compared to Friday;s sunshine. The team played 7 games with two wins and 1 draw among the resuts. The scorers were, Iestyn (3), Llyr (2) a Jac. Feet up after a busy weekend.
February 27 v Waunfawr (A)
A difficult task for the team today with a number of the squad with Eisteddfod commitments and the squad depth was severely tested. The team raised their game, winning both games, 3-0 in the 1st game and then an outstanding 7-0 win to follow. The rest of the squad will have to battle to get their places back.
February 6 v Penrhosgarnedd (H)
Two close games this week against the team from Bangor. The 1st game was close with few chances and finished 2-2.
The players expressed themselves more in the second and the goals flowed. With the last kick of the game, Liam scored to secure the victory 5-4.
January 30 v Segontiwm (A)
Two solid wins today in a strong and cold wind at Hendre. It was Sion Morris who demonstrated a great example at the start of the game, giving 100%. The defence was solid and organised with Bethel keeping a clear sheet during both games. Scorers were Liam (5), Iestyn and Llyr (2 each).
January 23 v Maes y Bryn (H)
A tough game against Maes y Bryn this week with home advantage for the first time in months helping us achieve a draw in the first game before scoring a goal in the final second to win 4-3 in the second.
January 16 v Cae Glyn (H)
Two months had passed since our last game and as Bethe's pitch wasn't in the best of conditions the game was moved to Caernarfon to Cae Glyn's home pitch. AS a result the team started slowly with Cae Glyn scoring regularly. Bethel scored before the end and the early season form was more apparent, particularly on the second game when Bethel were victorious 3-2. Jac was man of the match today as he inspired and raised the team's enthusiasm in the second game with his non stop effort.
A total wash out during December with the weather putting a stop to all games this month. With the winter break now upon us, here are the statistics for the first half of the season
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Scorers |
16 | 10 | 4 | 2 | Liam (21), Llyr (12), Iestyn (5), Nia (5), Jac (2), Sion Lewis (2), Gruff (1) |
Happy Christmas to all of you!
November 28 v Llanberis (A)
We competed against a strong wind, heavy rain and cold (perfect football weather) on top of a strong Llanberis team this week. The focus was on attack, but unfortunately we left our own goal un-defended at times. Nevertheless some good goals were scored and both games finished level, 3-3 and 2-2. The scorers were Sion Lewis, Nia and Liam (3)
November 21 v Felinheli (H)
Three weeks had passed since the last game, but the enthusiasm shown by the team and the passing continued with everyone supporting each other. The first game finished level 2-2 and the second 4-3 in Bethel's favour against a Felinheli team that were strong across the park. There were goals for Nia, Iestyn and Liam (3). There was also a great defensive effort from Sion Morris as he slid across the Bethel goal to clear the ball for an opposition corner. Worth two goals alone!!
October 31 v Llandwrog (A)
A weeks holiday didn't impact the quality of the football and the team were victorious in two games against a promising Llandwrog team. The score in the first game was 4-3, with Liam and Llyr scoring two goal each. In the second game, the result was 3-2. Well done.
October 17 v Mynydd Tigers (A)
Two games in parallel this week with everyone in the squad playing throughout and the strength in depth clear with both teams controlling their respective games and securing two great wins.
It was 6-1 in one of the games with football of the highest quality being played and the goals shared among the team. Llyr (2), Liam (2), Nia a Sion Lewis. In addition, the goal fframe of the opposing had a tough morning as well!
It was 3-0 in the other game, with Bethel in their opponents half for most of the game. Jac and Iestyn (2) were the scorers with one of Iestyn's goals straight from the practice ground. A perfect corner from Gruff with a run into space by Iestyn before placing the ball with quality into the net.
October 10 v Waunfawr (H)
A great victory by 7 goals to 0 this week with the goals being shared amongst the team, 2 to Llyr and Nia, and 1 each for Gruff, Jac and Liam. In addition, Llyr scored a hat-trick in the second game, well done all.
October 3 v Penrhosgarnedd (A)
Bethel lost for the first time this season against Penrhos. Although we enjoyed the majority of the possession and created plenty of chances it was Penrhos who were victors by 3-1.
The pattern was the same in the second game, with Bethel seeing plenty of the ball and creating chances, but this time the deserved goal came with Liam playing like Ryan Giggs at his best and scoring 5!!!
September 19 v Maes y Bryn (A)
The season's challenges continue with a tough away fixture at Maesgeirchen this week but Bethel controlled large parts of the game. This time it was Maes y Bryn who made a comeback and the game finished level at 2-2. The scorers were Liam and Iestyn. Man of the match was Llyr for a goal in the second goal that is already being considered for goal of the season, with a lob over the defender straight into the net.
September 12 v Cae Glyn (A)
Exactly a year has gone by since the start of last season and it was Cae Glyn once again who were our opponents. Remembering our lack of goals and the amount we conceded a year go it was encouraging to see the improvement. Bethel started with a 2-1 win with Liam and Llyr scoring. Although Cae Glyn passed the ball around excellently, Bethel's persistence reaped the rewards. Despite Iestyn's best efforts defending the goal, Bethel were defeated in the second game.
September 11
The start of the season and Bethel warmed up with a series of games on Bangor's 3G pitch on Friday 11th September. Everyone had the opportunity to get over the lazy summer including the manager who had to ref 2 games!! Bethel played 5 games in total, drawing 3, loosing 1 (2-1) and winning one (2-1). The players still remembered how to pass and support each other and this was demonstrated during the last game of the evening with a great pass by Gruff to the Llyr's feet to find the net. It looks promising for the season (commentator's curse to followed perhaps??)
Welcome to the under 10's page and their season's exploits. Thanks to the managers and coaches for their work with the players.
Wednesday 30 September 2015
Bethel 4-0 Waunfawr
Scorers: Morgan Jones 2, Corey, Codey
Only 8 players were available for the Wednesday evening game!! The players had to play in unfamiliar positions but it worked out well as Bethel played some very good football. We're starting to get used to the bigger pitch now and are getting the ball moving well!!
Saturday 26 September 2015
Mynydd tigers 3 Bethel 1
Scorer: Corey
We'd hoped that the excellent win from previous week would have been continued against a strong tigers team, but the boys weren't at their best this morning! It was 1-1 at half time with neither team being able to control the game!! Corey was playing up front and scored for Bethel. Don't know what happened following the half time team talk but the boys lost their way during the second half!! There were some disagreements among the Bethel team and the tigers took full advantage with two good goals!!
Saturday 19 September 2015
A new season ready to go!!
Bethel 2 Bontnewydd 0
Scorers: Morgan Davies, Morgan Jones
The boys had to adapt to plating 7v7 on a bigger pitch. It was a good start to the season with an excellent win against Bont. The passing that had developed last season continued with good movement from the back through to the front!! Both Morgan's were on the scoresheet with good movement through the middle!! The bigger pitch showed at the end with the boys very tired.

Bethel 6 – Llandudno Junction B 4
Scorers: Aaron 3, Gruff, Shaun, Jestin
Another terrible day with rain throughout, and as it turned out, Bethel last game for some time. The conditions were difficult for both sides but it was a good competitive game with Bethel running out victorious 6-4.
Saturday 7 November 2015
Bethel 15 Llanllyfni 1
Scorers: Gethin, Gruff (3), Aaron (2), Jestin (3), Dion, Osian (2), Sion, Iwan (2)
The combination of poor weather and a heavy pitch made it impossible to carry the ball and forced Bethel to pass the ball around who produced one of the performances of the season.
Saturday 24 October 2015
Bethel 10 – St Asaph B 2
Scorers: Aaron 4, Lee 3, Jestin 2, Gruff
It was a truly autumn day that faced us this morning with what can only be described as torrential rain. Despite the heavy rain the pitch was in remarkably good condition.
St Asaph B started strongly passing the ball well and causing Bethel a few problems but as the half progressed Bethel got stronger and managed to make a few good runs. The first goal came when a shot from Dion wasn't held by the keeper and Aaron capitalised to stab home. The second goal came as a result of a wonder free kick from Jestin after Gruff had been fouled wide on the left.
It was 2-0 at half time and what was notable in the dressing room was the great team spirit. Due to various reasons we were only able to field 11 players today and everyone was prepared to play in different positions.
The rain didn't abate and it continued raining heavily throughout the second half but Bethel got stronger as the game progressed with some great runs and movement. Iwan created the third with a great run before passing back for Aaron to tap in. The fourth was scored by Lee (who was playing centre forward for the day) following a pass from Jestin and soon afterwards Lee scored his second when the ball came back to him from the keeper. The goals came at a pace now with Gruff the creator for the next two, Jestin scoring the 6th and then supplying a great cross for Aaron to score his 3rd. St Asaph never gave up and pulled a goal back before Aaon scored his 4th supplied by Osian. Gruff's hardwork paid off as he scored the 9th. St Aspah pulled a further goal back before Lee rounded off the scoring assisted by Gruff.
Man of the match for being prepared to play in an unfamiliar position in midfield and still scoring four was Aaron.
Saturday 3 October 2015
Cae Glyn 1 – Bethel 4
Scorers: Jeston, Aaron, Osian, Gruff
It was our first away game of the season and a trip to Caernarfon to face Cae Glyn. Cae Glyn played exceptionally well and restricted Bethel to few chances. The first game following a cross from the right wing by Dion, Owain controlling the ball well and passing to Jestin to score/ Aaron scored the second following another good pass from Owain.
HT 2-0
Soon after the restart Osian scored with a great header following a fantastic cross from Aaron. Soon afterwards, Bethel suffered a couple of injuries and had to the play the rest of the game with only 10. Cae Glyn came back into the game, scoring with a header following a corner and Bethel had to withstand some pressure but defended well. Bethel's 4th came with Ben winning the ball in midfield, passing to Jestin who provided the final ball for Gruff to score.
Saturday 26 September 2015
Bethel 5 – Bontnewydd 0
Scorers: Aaron 3, Dion, Jestin
Bethel responded positively after the disappointment of the previous week against a strong Bontnewydd side. There was little to choose between the sides for a long period but as the half progressed, Bethel started to get the better of things and went ahead with Aaron scoring from a pass by Aaron. It was Dion who scored the second from the penalty spot following a foul on Gruff.
HT 2-0
Bethel scored twice in quick succession after the restart with Jestin scoring created by Aaron and then Aaron himself scored following good work from Owain. Bot had several chances and went close on a number of occasions. It was Aaron who scored the last goal of the day netting after Gruff had created the chance.
Saturday 19 September 2015
Bethel 3 – Llanberis 6
Scorers: Ryan, Dion, Jestin
It was a game of two halves, with Bethel controlling for long periods and Llanberis fighting back. Bethel went ahead with Ryan scoring from a corner and then Dion scored after Ifan had passed out from defence. It was 3-0 after 30 minutes when Jestin scored following a pass from Sion. Thereafter, things went wrong with Llanberis striking back before the break and dominating the second half to win 6-3.
Saturday 12 September 2015
Bethel 8 – Talysarn 0
Scorers: Aaron 3, Osian 2, Jestin, Iwan, Owain
Bethel's first competitive game of the season with a very good team performance. The first goal of the season came following a good pass into the box by Shaun to Iwan to control well, turn and score. Aaron scored the second following a great move with Dion supplying the final ball. It was Aaron who also scored the next created by Iwan. Owain then scored his first goal for Bethel following good work from Harri.
HT 4-0
Bethel scored another four times in the second half, with Osian scoring created by Gruff and then Jestin scoring following a fine move. The ball was passed from the back with Lee rolling the ball to Gethin who passed to Gruff to supply Jestin. Osian scored the seventh before turning provider for Aaron following good play by Iwan.
