Bethel 4 - Mynydd Tigers 2

Bethel played their 3rd game in 4 days to secure the win they needed clinch the Gwyrfai title. The game was fiercely contested by two well matched sides on a damp evening. Bethel went ahead following a fine move that ended with Owain opening the scoring.
Further pressure from Bethel resulted in an own goal from Mynydd. 2-0 HT.
Bethel went further ahead in the second half with Owain scoring his second but Mynydd didn’t give up and scored following a fine move down the right. Bethel scored a 4th through Morgan, but again Mynydd came back with their second. It was a competitive and enjoyable game played in the right spirits.
Congratulations to the whole team, the coaching staff and the parents and supporters on a fantastic season, two trophies and runners up in the North Wales Coast FA Cup.

This was a good and competitive game. The game started badly for Bethel with Penrhos going ahead and there was worse to come with Penrhos going further ahead despite Bethel having created several good chances. Bethel came back strongly with Aaron netting after Gethin's shot had hit the bar and before half time Aaron pounced on hesitation in the Penrhos defence to level. In the second half Bethel went ahead when Dion scored following a clever free kick from Shaun before Aaron scored his third of the night. Both teams had good chances, but the game finished 4-2.
